| Description: |
This is a very well built 1965 Falcon Futura Pro Street car. The body is super straight and solid with all original metal. The car has been painted its original Rangoon Red with Wimbledon White. All of the stainless and chrome is in place and it is all in outstanding condition either being the original that has been reworked or replaced with NOS parts. It has been mini tubbed to accommodate the 10 inch wide Magnum 500 custom offset rear wheels with 12 inch wide tires. The chassis has undergone significant modifications including custom sub frame connectors and other measures to stiffen it for the modified suspension and overall horsepower of the car. The rear suspension is a custom 4 link with adjustable coil overs, while the front features tubular upper A-Arms with modified factory lowers and adjustable coil overs. The front factory shock towers have been removed. Steering is provided through the factory steering box.
Power is provided by a professionally built Ford 351 Windsor V8. The engine features TFS aluminum heads with raised ports, 2.02 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves, a Comp Roller Cam, Roller Rockers, Ross forged pistons, a Cloyes gear drive, MSD ignition with a MSD 6A box, a hi volume water pump, an aluminum Edlebrock single plane intake manifold with Holley 750 double pumper carburetor, aluminum under drive pulleys, aluminum Cobra valve covers, an aluminum Cobra 7 quart oil pan and custom built wheel well headers. The engine has been completely balanced and at 9 1/2 to 1 compression will run on pump gas. To keep the engine running cool, you will find a high volume radiator with dual electric fans and an aluminum overflow reservoir. To deliver the necessary fuel to feed this powerhouse, there is a 10 gallon fuel cell in the trunk along with electric fuel pump, fuel filter and once again, hi volume lines. Additionally you will find a Optima battery in a battery box mounted in the trunk. This is connected to a main power disconnect switch that it in the right rear tail light. The engine is generating a conservative 400 horsepower.
The engine is connected to a heavy duty 4 speed top-loader manual transmission equipped with Liberty crash box gears and a Hurst Shifter. It also features a slipper clutch with hydraulic throwout bearing and a scatter shield. The transmission is connected to a Ford 9 inch rear end equipped with 4:11 trac lock via a custom built driveshaft. All this power is brought to a stop by front disc brakes and large drum brakes in the rear. The front disc brakes have a lock up module located under the dash to assist in a quality burn out.
The interior of the car has also been professional equipped with a 6 point roll cage and 5 point racing seatbelts. The driver and passenger sit in quality wrap around racing seats made by Pro Car. All of the car functions are controlled by a Painless Wiring 8 switch fuse control panel that is mounted between the seats. The monitoring of the car's performance is done through a complete set of Autometer gauges that are mounted in a custom aluminum bezel that has kept the dash from being molested in anyway. There is also a large Competition tachometer with shift light. The interior is finished out with nice black carpeting and a black headliner. All the glass is in perfect condition and all the windows still operate as originally designed. There is no back seat currently in the car, but the rear wheel wells were constructed in a way that it would still accommodate a back seat if desired.
This car has the classic, factory look that is very deceiving. But once your fire it up, there is no doubt that this is not your normal 65 Falcon. It has been professionally built throughout with no expense spared. Well over $40,000 invested in this one of kind car that would be right at home on the show circuit, the drag circuit or at your local cruise night.
This amazing car can be yours for only $27,600.00 |
